So I finally got around to trying out this “Digsby” that none of my friends have been talking about. And I must say…”Impressed I am.”
I’m not going to tell you all of the features that digsby has, mainly because their own website does a great job at this.
Although still in beta, this is a must have. It replaced Pidgin (previously GAIM) for me (which previously replaced both meebo and trillian). I really like the social network integration (mainly because I hate to ever go to myspace and facebook, even though I have accounts there).
Oh guess what, unlike the proprietary clients that the big companies (Yahoo, AOL, MSN) all provide, there are no ads!
Plus it uses IM window skins like Adium for the Mac has. Plus you have these tool tips (like msn in a way..only way cooler) that pop up with what the person said to you + their photo + a text box for you to respond…all without re-opening the IM chat window.
I am extremely impressed at how fast it is too (unlike trillian). So try it out, I promise you’ll like it.

Ok, so if you like Rick Astley you are a pedophile, or atleast expect to see Chris Hansen walk out from behind the curtain…oh..wait…I guess I have to read further than just the headline. It says here that the FBI is tricking people to being Rick Roll’d…them funny guys at the FBI…wait…I’m still not getting it? Oh! if someone said “hey check out this hot 13 year old boy” and they click on the link and get sent to Rick Roll chanting is one “hit” then according to the FBI you are potentially a pedophile (not to mention that Rick Astley actually looked 13 when he recorded that song/video).
Rick Rolled to child porn = you’re a pedophile, says FBI

I was reading my favorite website (next to stumbleupon) “LifeHacker” and they had mentioned EggHeaven, the ultimate database of easter eggs (no not the ones with cash, chocolate, or rabbit fetuses in them) but the kind of hidden quirks of software, dvds…etc. Still don’t know what I’m talking about? Well then you have two choices…either look it up on Wikipedia, or look on the website itself.

I know I’m a little late on reporting on this, but I just rekindled my love for blogs and posting stuff about crap. Thus the latency of this next beauty. I love FireFox, and now I even love it more with the fourth beta in the Mozilla FireFox version 3. Give it a try, even though it’s a beta it seems to be even more stable than 2.5 (especially with Java Applets like Pitney and Bowes USPS Label Printing App..ICK!).

Speedup Your PC 2 – video powered by Metacafe
Besides the horrible spelling on the intro title of the video, this short but sweet tutorial video does actually show some neat little ways to boost performance on your Windows XP machine without actually boosting performance! You don’t understand? Well then watch the video.

So I stumbled upon this video talking about OpenID and the future of a single login across all of that thing called the internet, primarily “Web 2.0″ type sites like; WordPress, LiveJournal, AOL, and other junk out there that people can’t live without. The idea isn’t new, but the technology that they are actually using is. Take a look, experiment.
Tech Safe,
Matt

Hello, I’m Matt Ford. I spend many hours a day on reading, watching, and playing with technology and art. I have a feeling that I can find something of interest for you.
I used to use this blog specifically for OSx86 information, which I have abandoned for now. Please check back often since I plan to add many posts a day, whether it be video, links, or just general discussion. And please feel free to leave comments!
Have fun, tech safe.
